There are so many out there that it can be hard to filter through them. We’ve gone ahead and done the research for you and compiled a list of the 5 best scholarships for business majors to get you the financial assistance you need.
1. Seattle Foundation’s Student Scholarships
The Seattle Foundation awards many students every year with varied degrees of scholarships. They offer scholarships with awards ranging from $500 all the way up to full tuition. High school seniors, as well as undergraduate and graduate students can find financial rewards with this foundation. One scholarship, named the “Lambeth Family Scholarship” offers financial support to graduate students pursuing engineering, computer science, or business majors. This particular scholarship totals $3,000, but is only one of many scholarships offered by the Seattle Foundation for business majors.
2. Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s (HSF) Scholarships
Much like the Seattle Foundation, HSF offers a wide variety of scholarships to a wide variety of students. These scholarships are much more competitive and restrictive, as they are aimed to assist students of Hispanic heritage only. Most scholarship awards range from $500 to $5,000, but some more specific scholarships could total more. The scholarship given through the HSF by the Association of Latino Professionals for example, awards college students majoring in business, economics, or finance with $10,000. All applicants must apply through the HSF’s website and must meet certain requirements like maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA and proving proof of financial need.
3. Citigroup Fellows Program by the United Negro College Fund
The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is a well-known, reputable organization that has awarded hundreds of thousands of minority students an opportunity at education. Their Citigroup Fellows Program is listed on Discover’s list of business scholarships, doing much more than just handing out money to students. This program not only rewards more than $5,000 to eligible business majors, but also provides access to “Citigroup professionals as mentors and professional development conferences.” Unlike many other scholarship programs, the application can be done year-round, through the UNCF’s scholarship portal.
4. AACE International Scholarship
AACE International grants quite a few of these scholarships each year, ranging in value from $1,000 to $5,000. Students can apply to 1 of 3 separate scholarships; one for U.S. students, one for Canadian students, and one for international students. Only those who are business majors and are current full-time students may apply. Additional eligibility requirements include having a 3.0 GPA and adhering to the AACE’s Code of Ethics. AACE International looks for students in financial need and who show a true willingness to pursue the world of business.
5. PNC Bank’s “Serving With Integrity” Scholarship
PNC Bank partnered with the Student Veterans of America to provide this scholarship to two lucky students each year. The award totals $10,000 and is given to veterans who wish to pursue a higher education.
